Just joined the group, been developing my social media skills over the the last 8-9 months and realise I have loads to learn. Be interested to follow discussions on B2B marketing as that's what I'm most involved in as a photographer working for marketing companies and promoting my own business to those who need pictures.

I agree, there is a limited amount of resources that B2B manufacturing/industrial sectors can use. When I saw this group I thought it would be a great idea to join - my agency tends to focus on these sectors, along with IT resellers and I thought I'd make myself available for those that might need my services :)

What a good idea!

I work with companies in both sectors and there is no reason why marketing communications for them should be any less creative than in the consumer arena. One of the problems, I believe, is that marketers and communicators working in those fields are not always ready and willing to try new approaches and I think we're duty bound to keep refreshing their options.

A construction marketing bod here - specifically construction products.

B2B has in many ways been the poor relation to the glamorous B2C world for a long time, but the challenges are often more complex, and longer term.

Hi,

I run my own Print Management company but as profit margins  have been getting tighter I have been exploring other avenues. It is predicted that within 2 to 3 years, more people will be browsing the Internet on their hand held devices than on their Personal Computers.

Whilst this has aided printing slightly, in regards printing QR Codes on business cards & leaflets, I am looking to get into mobile video advertising, as hand held devices progress (better bandwidth speeds & increased power)
