Budweiser, a cute puppy and GoDaddy’s mistake

One of the most talked about Super Bowl ads last year, was Budweiser’s 'Clydesdale Puppy Love'. It caught the hearts of viewers with a cute little Labrador puppy becoming friends with a Clydesdale horse. The ad received a lot of media attention and over 56 million views. They have followed last year’s #BestBuds success with this year’s Super Bowl offering: ‘Lost Dog’. Published on Budweiser’s Youtube channel on 28th January it has already amassed over 6 million views ahead of the Super Bowl this…See More

Top Christmas Ads of 2014

Over the past few years, big brands have increased their budget for festive advertising as the competition to get the holiday top-spot becomes fierce. Who cares about the Christmas no. 1 single  anymore? It's all about getting the no. 1 Christmas advert! In particular John Lewis have spent the last few years at the top spot and have taken over from Coca-Cola's Christmas truck ad which had been top for many years before, and although still seen as the 'classic' Christmas ad, their views are…See More

innocent drink's Top 10 Social Media Posts

For the last few years innocent drinks social media feed has been the envy of many marketers, myself included. They have an incredibly unique 'voice' that is continued all over their brand communications and social media channels. They are incredibly customer-centric with an amazing customer service and a very friendly, albeit sometimes incredibly random approach. This seems to have served them well, as we all know customers use social media in their downtime. They're less likely to 'buy' from…See More

Macmillan in trouble over ice bucket challenge

Macmillan, the cancer support charity, has come under fire for hijacking the #ALSicebucketchallenge which has swept the world via social media.I can understand how another charity could see the popularity and want to get a 'piece of the action' and originally the ice bucket challenge was to raise money for a charity of…See More

ASA bans Morrisons burger ad

I was baffled when I saw that Morrisons burger advert, part of their 'Love it Cheaper' campaign, was recently targeted by the ASA.It has come under fire after the ASA received complaints that the advert "condoned or encouraged" an unhealthy lifestyle. This has all stemmed from the child in the advert removing the salad from her burger and the statement "Love burgers? Love them cheaper". The ASA decided that Morrisons had put too much emphasis on the love of burgers in preference to salad and…See More
